Back from the library. I'm not sure what I was expecting out of it, but chasing a 2 year old all over the library wasn't one of them. I think I thought it was gonna be like when I take her in a stroller. She's more contained that way and less rampant.

I'm frustrated because she's 2 years old and I've let myself become the parent that doesn't seem to have any control. She has it all! I'm very sad that I'm the one that's chasing the child that's running around and into everything. It kinda snuck up on me. I need to instill more discipline into her life, but not sure how to go about it. I know she's old enough for timeouts. Seems like she's hasn't done anything drastic enough for them though.

I'm still flustered by her lack of talking too. I let that bother me too much. I know she'll talk when she is ready, and I'm seeing about getting her some help for it. I think that is also part of why I let her get away with so much. I'm treating her like she's 1 and barely talking instead of like a fully capable 2 year old. Fully capable of getting everywhere that is.

I'm done ranting for now. I'm trying to perk up. I'm also frustrated that by chasing her everywhere I didn't get to visit with Jazzy-kins. I'll get to see her tomorrow, but I feel robbed of my opportunity today.

Today was nice

Got to spend the day with my twin sis. Went to the pet store for dog food and Barnes and Noble's for their convenient coffee location. Browsed their knitting and crochet related books while we had some frappucinos.

Also got to try some of the Trauma Center game on the Wii. That's kinda fun. Though the first doctor we played constantly looks like the wind is blowing around him.

I'm working on a hat for Brit. It's gonna be a trade that I told her she had to be a part of. I make her the Urban Jungle hat by Vickie Howell and in return she makes me the Urban Revival hat by Vickie Howell. :D

It is looking really good so far. I need to focus more on it now.

Tomorrow will bring a trip to the library for Baby Dragon and I. Been making it a goal to go there every friday for the storytime.

Feeling kinda blah...

Today has been mostly uneventful as are many of my days. I've spent more time browsing knitting and crochet patterns than actually making anything productive.

I finally completed the Lil' Baby Unicorn project I started the week of Baby Dragon's 2nd birthday. It didn't get completed in time for her birthday, but still done in the same month. So that is still a win in my book.

I don't know why she thinks its a good idea to put her winter coat on in 90 degree weather. I've actually had to hide it from her so she'll stop yelling at me to put it on her.

Back to yarn though. I'm ready to start another project but I get overwhelmed by the number of things I wanna do/try. I'm thinking about some fingerless gloves, a hat, or a stuffed toy that is long overdue to a little boy.

So many decisions....

Baby Dragon is being quite cute crading the crochet cat. I think we are gonna skip the park today. Temp still in triple digits.

First post! (of many first posts...)

Alrighty! I'm kinda somewhat motivated briefly to do something that involves typing and journals. Cause I have an addiction to paper. Be it digital or physical.  This blog will be dusty though from lack of use though. Layers of dust will be collected between posts I'm sure.  Don't want to try and make any promises about posting on a regular basis I can't keep.

I have an appointment today for my lil' one. Then perhaps weather willing (willing to not scorch the very earth I stand on) a trip to the park may be in order.
