Love the smell of scented yarn in the evening...

Smells like lavender I think.  I'm taking a crack at the Wrist Yarn Holder by Knituition.  It'll come in handy when completed and if it turns out right, then I'll make another for Jazzy-kins.  Still trying to plot out Xmas gifts.  I was recently given some yarn by Jazzy and I think one of the skeins of bamboo ewe is going to go towards a shawl for Rhiannon. I'll have to buy more yarn for it, but I'm okay with that.

Went to a knitting thing at the library where someone was teaching the basics. I enjoyed chatting with the other people there, and Jazzy learned some new stuff!

It's my bedtime though but wanted to post something new here. Nighty night!

Being lazy on a Wednesday

I stayed up later than I should have last night. I finally finished the dress that I was working on. I was so close to being done that I didn't want to put it off til the morning. I'm not sure I like all the white, but the bottom edge was done in some multi-color yarn since I didn't have enough white yarn to finish it I think.

I need to try and find a new way of knitting. My hands ached so much once I was done. I throw my yarn, but the more I do it, the more I realize it may not work long term. So I have to train myself to try another style. I keep trying to do continental, but it ends up really loose and my tension constantly goes slack. I also keep locking my index finger when I try. :(

Azali woke us up crazy early. We decided to try and open her bedroom door before we went to bed so she could come get us when she woke up and we wouldn't sleep in as bad. I expected her around 7 or 8 ish... but she crawled into our room and on top of me closer to 5:30am and lied in bed with me chattering away. Blake was my hero and got up with her at 6:30ish after she had been lying there for a while, poking and prodding me.

I started another knitting project. This one is smaller and if Azali wills it, will be done today. It's another kerchief. Brittany showed me this pattern, it's really simple and looks really great.

Will try and share pictures of the dress later. It's in the wash at the moment.

Sunday again! Going to Grandma's!

I'm being really lazy this morning about it though. Normally I'm all ready to go by now. I got caught up looking at pictures of food and knitting related things on FB.

I've been working on a dress lately with my knitting. Eli Dress is the name. Which will be amusing if Ellie ends up with it. (Which I think she will as long as her mommy doesn't mind the white too much)

I've gotten into watching Supernatural. I'm really enjoying that show. I watch about 3 episodes a night with Blake and we are almost done with season one. I don't quite remember what the episode was that was scaring me, but I remember squeezing Blake's hand so hard I had to let go cause my hand started to cramp.

Oh! Wait I remember. Creepy family in creepy painting killing people.

Brittany also visited for a lil bit yesterday. Was nice to see her come by. I felt bad that I didn't have anything for us to do other than sit and chat, and watch the occasional youtube video.

Azali had her first dental appointment today. She was not amused with it. Try to keep her mouth shut so they couldn't see her teeth.

Turns out her dentist is someone I went to highschool with. Makes me feel old almost. I always expect the people that will be taking care of any health concerns to be older than me. And I'm not trying to make it sound that I think people my age are incapable or anything, I just didn't expect to be this age already. (does this make sense?)

I also spoke with the case worker(?) or representative for Azali's potential speech therapy. They will give me a call in a few weeks to set up an evaluation for her. They do it in home, and I'm really worried about how the house looks. This will be a good reason to give it a thorough cleaning.

Blake and I are kinda at odds over the speech therapy. He thinks she really doesn't need it. I want to agree with him, but part of me still worries that this will negatively affect her in the future if she doesn't start talking.

She seems to do fine in almost all other areas except communication, so I don't think it's anything health related that would prevent her from talking. I know she can be stubborn, but she can be stubborn in other areas. I think he also worries that they'll diagnose her with ADD and say that's why she won't talk. I don't think she has ADD I think she's 2 years old... Anyways... I'm done ranting. Thoughts don't want to stay straight in my head.

Working on knitting a kerchief. We'll see how it turns out.

Whee! It's Sunday!

That means it's lunch at Grandma's today! We're bringing out the kiddie pool as well so Azali and Kisa can splash around a bit.

I'm hoping to also finish with the hat I've been crocheting for Brit. I got to take out the last two rows I did. I accidentally decreased... oopsies... but I know where I went wrong. Fixing it will be easy.

Had fun hanging out with Jazzy last night. Mostly just chatted away while we played with yarn. I think I'm gonna try and make a pony for my next project based on this pattern.

I also want to stock up on some cotton yarn for various projects I've been eyeballing.

That is all for now! Time to see if I can awake the husband who is still in bed.
